Where cleanup ends and storm work begins
Small branches and stick piles you've stacked up over the winter are part of a normal cleanup — bring them on. A full limb down, or a tree that came apart in a storm, is a different job with different equipment. That's covered on our storm cleanup and tree removal page.
Starting the Season Clean
A spring cleanup isn't cosmetic. Debris matted over turf all winter blocks light and holds moisture against the crown of the grass — that's where a lot of thin, slow-starting lawns come from.
Clearing it early, before growth really takes off, lets the lawn come in evenly instead of patchy. It's the cheapest thing you can do for a lawn all year.
